Our beautiful friend Chris O’dea passed away recently which was a huge shock to anyone that knew him. He was amazing and we all miss him so much.

Instead of bringing flowers to the funeral the family asked us to make a donation to a charity of our choice in memory of Chris.

So, I decided to use a running race that I’d signed up for to raise money for The Leukaemia Foundation. Although Chris didn’t die from Leukaemia, the reason I chose The Leukaemia Foundation is from being involved with Bloody Mission events. They put on great/ridiculous races that I love and all the money they make goes to the foundation.

The race I’m doing is a Backyard Ultra (Last Person Standing race) starting on Sept 20th, 8am.

You have to run a 6.71km loop starting on the hour, every hr. The last person standing wins, everyone else DNF’s.

I’m shooting for 48hrs which will be a distance of 200 miles (321.86km). The furthest I’v run is 176kms so 145kms extra sounds pretty extreme. Chris was an extreme kind of guy and I’m pretty sure he would love this madness. I can hear him saying “f**k yeah Bazzy” with that cheeky smile.

3 days in the studio with The OB3 music out soon!

It feels good to finally release one of the tracks that Donné Restom and myself have been working on over the last few years.

It’s been such a fulfilling experience writing and recording with Don! We’ve taken our time and I’m glad we have.

I played and recorded all the instruments (except drums and strings) in my home studio, arranged and recorded the strings which were played beautifully by Oliver Miller (cello) and James Eccles (viola).

Drums were played/recorded by Evan Mannell at his home studio, SO GOOD EV!

'Great Circle' is mixed by the one and only Lee Groves and mastered by Michael Lynch.

Cinematography by Eddie James shooting on 8mm and 35mm film!

Enjoy!

Started tracking drums today with Evan Mannell for Donné Restoms new album. Sounding great!

A great first day back in in the studio with The Parade getting started on our new album!

The Swingin’ Blades are not playing for a while unfortunately. We will hopefully be back before too long.
Great to be back in the studio with ‘Knee High Mush’ (Ben Hauptmann and EvanMannell) (FKA The Alcohotlicks) recording a new surf rock album! Evan Mannell has written some great music! Album should be out in this year (2022)!
Ben Hauptmann and Myself had a great time recording a set of music for Johnston St Jazz. We did it at some beautiful locations around The Central Coast, this is it below. CLICK ME to read the SMH review
